We are recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient administrative support within the Purchasing area, responsible for placing, tracking orders in accordance with Business requirements. Liaising with suppliers on order queries and delivery dates. Supporting team ensuring material orders placed are delivered in accordance with confirmed dates and internal production plan.
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Supporting the Purchasing function to ensure efficient procurement of raw materials, packaging, goods and services at the most competitive prices, from approved sources and delivered in accordance to Business requirements.
Employment status: Full-Time, permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week, 08:30-17:00
Location: Vitrition, Liversedge
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring up-to-date order status for materials purchased.
- Maintenance of up-to-date order confirmation status for orders that have been placed with suppliers chasing up confirmed delivery dates and monitoring.
- Placing orders when requested in a timely and organised manner ensuring availability of materials to complete production plan.
- Ensuring order details, order confirmations, and invoice details are consistent highlighting and closing out any queries in a timely manner.
- Liaise between suppliers and relevant internal departments on stock related queries ensuring all Stakeholders are informed of any key issue.
- Support the project and quality team with requesting and chasing key supplier information.
- Maintenance of Purchasing related systems ensuring data up to date and accurate.
- Maintain database of raw material prices and order quantities.
- Demonstrate focus on the quality of all tasks you undertake and any other duties as may be reasonably requested in line with the job role
About You
You will have previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment, with an eye for detail. Ideally, you will have a background in purchasing, in a manufacturing company, and have the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure you meet your deadlines.
